Continuing Education Credits (CECs)

The MREA courses recognized for continuing education by state licensing authorities and trade organizations can be found here. Many employers and professional organizations recognize the listed CECs as documentation of continued professional growth. CECs are offered at no additional cost to course participants. We provide letters of completion at the end of each course, and upon request.

Please contact us at training@midwestrenew.org if you hold a credential or license that requires continuing education and you would like to take an MREA course to meet that requirement. MREA staff will do our best to submit the required paperwork and fees to help make our courses even more professionally valuable to course participants.

Credentialing Organizations:

Institute for Sustainable Power Quality (ISPQ)

The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) uses the Institute of Sustainable Power Quality (ISPQ) international framework to assess content, quality, and resources across a range of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and weatherization training programs. The MREA has achieved this accreditation for many of its courses and instructors, a credential that shows that rigorous standards have been met. More information, and a list of accredited courses can be found on the IREC Accreditation page.

North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP®)

NABCEP recognizes advanced-level training by ISPQ/IREC Accredited training organizations to meet NABCEP continuing education requirements. MREA is an ISPQ/IREC accredited training organization. See www.nabcep.org or contact NABCEP at 800-654-0021 for more details on recertification. To see more information about MREA's ISPQ/IREC Accreditation, visit the ISPQ Awardees page.
