PV 405.03 Advancements in PV

Course Description

This course is designed to bring participants up-to-date on the newest equipment and techniques used in PV installation. This includes the latest gear (modules, inverters, charge controllers, mounting structures, disconnection means, etc.) and the newest, most efficient, and safest methods for installing PV systems that meet NEC code.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the major changes in the types of equipment used in PV installation and describe why these changes occurred
  • Describe how equipment development affect system design
  • Identify new products, their innovations, and their use
  • Define PV system design revisions presented by the new equipment
  • Discuss design challenges and identify solutions

Recognized CEU's for Licensed Professionals:

  • 7.0 continuing educatiion credits for NABCEP PV Installer Certification
  • 7.5 credit hours for WI Commercial Electrical Inspector Certification
  • 7.5 credit hours for WI Journeyman and Master Electrician Certification
  • 7.5 credit hours for WI UDC - Electrical Inspector Certification
