PV 208.01 Electric Vehicle (EV) Car Charging

Course Description

This course teaches the fundamentals of electric vehicle (EV) charging, and how to use PV to do it. An overview of the EV industry will cover requirements and policies for utility integration, as well as NEC requirements. Participants will learn how to site an EV charging station, which balance of system components are needed, charging load requirements, and how to install the EV charging station. Troubleshooting, post installation support, and maintenance will also be covered.

This 4-hour course is a "shortened" version of our 8-hour course, will feature an overview of electric vehicles, including manufacturers and types of electric vehicles, electric vehicle charging unit manufacturers, and more.
