This course will introduce you to electrical fundamentals so you can understand how electricity works, know how to measure it, and stay safe when working with it.
Course Description
(G108) Working With Electricity
This four-hour online course provides participants with fundamental terms and concepts to understand how electricity works and demonstrates how to implement safe work practices to avoid electrical shock, arc flash, and job site hazards.
Other topics covered include circuit components, conductor properties, basic wiring methods and techniques, and how to use electrical measuring instruments (meters).
Once enrolled in the course students can start working through recorded presentations and exercises at their own pace. When the coursework is finished, a completion certificate is issued.
