Stray Voltage on Farms (G075)
This informational course was developed to help you understand, define, and explain “stray voltage” as it pertains to farm wiring.
Although the term is used widely (and often incorrectly), there is a USDA definition of stray voltage, and many states have adopted rules, limits, and mitigation policies surrounding the subject.
We'll review basic electrical properties and terms, and apply that to grid-connected electrical systems, grounding, and renewable energy systems on farms.
