Becky Soglin was Johnson County’s lead point-person for Solarize Johnson County (Iowa), which led to 180 households adding 1.15 megawatts of solar in 2018. Since 2012, Becky has worked for Johnson County, where she is sustainability coordinator. Her efforts helped the county add 400 kW of solar to its facilities, earn SolSmart Gold recognition and obtain $500,000 in energy rebates that are leveraged through an internal sustainability and energy reinvestment fund.
Becky is a Student Conservation Association alumnae and holds an MS in urban and regional planning, an MFA in nonfiction writing, and an MA in French translation. She has been fortunate to live in diverse locales including the Midwest, East Coast, West Coast, China and France.
