Jenny’s been a full-time employee since 2013 but has been an MREA “regular” since attending her first Energy Fair in 2004. She served an electrical apprenticeship shortly after high school and worked as an industrial electrician for almost a decade. She earned her Master Electrician license in 2003 and opened a small business that specialized in updating older homes. She was an instructor at the local technical college, teaching courses in electricity, code, and farm wiring. This is where she met the love of her life – wind power! She worked for a number of years to create the wind program at the college and promote wind energy in Wisconsin by serving on many boards, committees, and councils.
Jenny has a B.S. in Career & Technical Education from UW-Stout and did her graduate coursework at UW-GB in Environmental Science & Policy. She came to the MREA eager to work with passionate people who surround the organization and support renewable energy, and finds her work extremely fulfilling. For fun, Jenny loves kayaking, horseshoes, home improvement projects, road trips, and spending time with her dog Max. She is a die-hard Milwaukee Brewers fan and can recite every line in The Princess Bride.
