As a Volunteer Wisconsin AmeriCorps member MREA Volunteer Coordinator, Jessycah is working to maintain and engage MREA’s volunteer base to support our overall mission of promoting renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable living through education and demonstration. She first got involved with The Energy Fair in 2018 through 350 Stevens Point, a student chapter of 350.org. After serving as an Energy Fair hardcore volunteer for two years in a row, Jessycah knew she wanted to continue her involvement in progressive local initiatives with the MREA.
Jessycah graduated from UW-Stevens Point with her Bachelors of Science in Natural Resources Planning and Management with an emphasis on Social and Policy Sciences and minors in Peace Studies and Environmental Studies. With a passion for yoga and Eastern culture, she recently traveled to India to complete a Yoga Alliance 200-hour yoga teacher training course and now offers yoga classes throughout the community. In the active pursuit of balancing interests and hobbies, Jessy likes to switch things up whether it’s experimenting with new recipes, writing poetry, singing and playing guitar or adventuring outdoors!
